2nd Grade
Hello! I'm new to Teachers 2.0 and I am getting used to this discussion forum. I just recently got transferred to a new school within my district. I am a bit nervous to start even though I have been teaching 2nd grade for 7 years. Does anyone out there teach 2nd grade have some good ideas?

I'm not that different from you, I also am nervous about this year. However here is the differenceI've been in my building for 7 years but this is my 1st year teaching 2nd grade. I would love any ideas you have to share.

I was a 2nd grade teacher for 4 years! You have me beat but as you already know those kiddos will love you! That is the great thing about 2nd grade. They usually still love school, their teachers and learning. Your first couple of days, the only thing you have to do is get to know your kiddos and make sure they get home on the right bus. Once you get started it is like riding a bike. Good luck and I would love to hear how it goes.
