Hi Linda,

With your interest in Web 2.0, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service. Here’s a public class recording you might find of interest.

Hi LInda and thanks for taking time to connect with me directly. I'm interested in how Web 2.0 tools can help teachers and other subject matter experts really put some heat under education reform in the US and the rest of the world. I'm getting heavily involved in the We Are Teachers network and I've filled out my page there. Still getting up to speed here on Teachers 2.0.

If you have time, please take a look at my page at WAT (http://weareteachers.ning.com/profile/mawstools) and join in the conversation I started there about "reinventing public education" if you're interested.

As soon as I have a minute, I'm going to check out your wiki...and I look forward to learning more with and from you.

Profile Information

About Me:
Hi
I blog at Classroom Displays and my learning journal blog is Acting to Improve.
Until recently I worked in a Primary (elementary) school in the UK as a research/teaching assistant involved in participatory action research projects across a network of 5 schools. I finished a workplace based 100% online degree in Learning Technology and Research last year and got a First.
I'm interested in developing resources for education staff that will help them to see how web 2.0 can enhance their own practice. I'm convinced that they will be more willing to embrace the technology if they can see its application for themselves.
As part of this I'm working on a wiki (http://usefulwiki.com) where teachers and other school staff can share resources.

Project Based Learning - notes and links
I took part by Skype in a session at the NECC last Monday on Reinventing Project Based Learning - Jane Krauss and Suzie Boss's forthcoming book. It was an interesting experience. I was able to hear what was going on in the lecture room via Skype and follow along the presentation as Jane had sent me a copy. Whilst this was going on I was taking notes on a wiki page and having a Skype chat with
