I am afraid that http://www.AllPeers.com seems to have disappeared so this information may well be outdated :( ?

I think what worked best for me was finding fun activities that required the skills or information needed for the assessment. For example: If I had to study HTML codes, my eyes would quickly glaze over. However, while creating and editing website...

I hope everyone's as excited about the start of school as I am! In fact there seems to be a recent surge in Teachers 2.0 membership. To everyone that's joined recently, welcome! But don't just sit around lurking - please, post comments on the for...

Every now and then a dummy account is created that starts throwing advertisements on the site. I've banned the accounts I've found, but they really are like cockroaches. Other Ning networks have the same issues. Should you find a new dummy accoun...

Just went on a 2nd banning spree, thanks in part to your cooperation. It seems some of them have become smart enough to not send spam messages directly to the Ning Admin, so if they don't post to their blogs or the forums I can't see it. If I've ...

New Forum Category on the Main Site

I've created a new section in the Teachers 2.0 forum called In The News, specifically to discuss current events stories involving education, technology, or both.

Remember that you'll need to be logged into the Teachers 2.0 website (Not the Ning site or Yahoo mailing list - those are different services) to comment or add a new news story, but fortunately you can… Continue

Aaron,

I'm working on my masters degree at EMU and am taking a web 2.0 class. As a result, I've recently started exploring social networks and am starting to learn how valuable this networking can be. As part of my masters' studies I have to do some research and was hoping you could answer a few questions for me.

1. What was your goal in creatin this network?
2. Assuming your netowrk is still growing, how succesful has it been so far?
3. What frustrations have you experienced with your social network, if any?
4. What advice can you give to other educators starting up their own social network?

Thanks for taking time to help me with my research.

Are you aware of the Association of Personal Computer User Groups, http://www.apcug.net/ ? You can look up local user groups on that site.

Just set it up to be automatic last night. I felt the conversations here deserved a little more face time. :)

I gather that if I want to participate in your next podcast, I just show up at Teachers20.com at 8pm your time and the "yackpack widget" in the sidebar should do the rest. Pls allow for tha fact that 8pm your time is not necessarily someone across the pond's timezone! lol Mine happens to be Mountain time this month so which is your Timezone please?

Yeah, and it looks like the CEO of Ning actually commented on my post! At least it seems they were paying attention enough to make some quick fixes - many of the bugs are gone already.
