I got the job I was after. WooT Monkey!

So finally I can start to contribute some intelligent discussion to this group. I'm going to be working with Autistic Preschoolers in the town's public schools. I am so jazzed! It's perfect.

I have an interview today at the charter school, and one tomorrow at a neighboring town. Woot monkey!!

Well, I finally found a couple of job openings...one at a regular school district and one at a charter school - just t/a jobs, but it makes sense for me while I pursue my degree. The only problem now is that if I do get a job, I would have to give up the infant who I am taking care of in my daycare (obviously) and I LOVE HER! Well, I passed the Teachers Aid test with a perfect score, and found some openings for paraprofessionals at a local charter school. Now I'm just waiting for some letters of recommendations from a couple of colleagues so that I can send my application in. Unfortunately, the openings may be filled by then :-(

In an effort to get into a school system faster, I have taken my teacher's assistant exam. I'm waiting for the results, but I am fairly certain that I did well. Right now, I have a daycare and after school program in my home, and that would work for me too - I would like to eventually offer classes in the program, such as piano instruction, marital arts instruction, mixed media art instruction and performing arts instruction.
